Erdogan Warns Iran War Could Weaken Europe; California Governor Urges End to Conflict

Ankara — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has warned that the ongoing conflict involving Iran could have far-reaching consequences for Europe, including significant economic strain.
During a telephone conversation with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Erdogan said the effects of the war are already spreading toward Europe. He cautioned that failure to find a peaceful resolution could deepen the damage and further weaken European economies.
Meanwhile, in the United States, California Governor Gavin Newsom called for an end to what he described as a “pointless war” against Iran. In a public statement, Newsom criticized Donald Trump, holding him responsible for rising prices in the U.S., particularly increased fuel costs at gas stations.
The contrasting statements reflect growing international concern over the broader economic and political implications of escalating tensions involving Iran.
