UK Teacher Arrested Over Confiscation of Daughters’ iPads, Claims ‘Unbearable Trauma

London:A history teacher in the **UK**, **Vanessa Brown**, has shared her distressing experience after she was not only **arrested** but also **prohibited from talking** to her daughters about the incident, following the confiscation of their **iPads**.

According to a report from **The Guardian**, the **50-year-old** teacher was detained on **March 26** for allegedly stealing two **iPads**. She spent **seven and a half hours** in a cell before being released on **bail**, with the condition that she could not speak to her daughters or anyone else about the case until the matter was resolved.

**Vanessa Brown** described the entire ordeal as **“unimaginable devastation and trauma.”** She explained that she had confiscated the iPads from her daughters to encourage them to focus on their **schoolwork**. However, the **police** traced the iPads to her mother’s house in **Cobham** and later admitted that they were indeed her daughters’ property and that they were **“entitled”** to seize them.

Vanessa also criticized the **police’s conduct**, calling it completely **unprofessional**, stating, “They were speaking to my 80-year-old mother as if she were a criminal.”

This incident has raised concerns about **parental rights**, **police procedures**, and the emotional toll on both the teacher and her family.
