Third ASF Officer Reported Missing in Balochistan Within Two Months Amid Security Concerns

Quetta: An Airport Security Force (ASF) officer has reportedly gone missing in Quetta, marking the third such incident involving ASF personnel in Balochistan over the past two months, according to local sources.

Sources said ASF Inspector Zubair Ahmed reportedly disappeared two days ago from Airport Road in Quetta. While officials have not released an official statement on the incident, some reports suggest that he may have been abducted.

The latest development comes weeks after ASF Deputy Director Muhammad Waseem Ahmed and his companion, Saeed Ahmed, were reportedly abducted by armed men on the Quetta–Karachi National Highway near Kalat district.

Days later, the body of Deputy Director Muhammad Waseem Ahmed, bearing signs of torture, was recovered from the Mastung district. However, there has been no confirmed information regarding the whereabouts of Saeed Ahmed, who was abducted alongside him.

Reports at the time claimed that a banned Baloch militant group had asserted responsibility for the abduction of Muhammad Waseem Ahmed and Saeed Ahmed. However, the claim was not officially confirmed by the authorities.

No official confirmation has yet been issued regarding the reported disappearance or alleged abduction of Inspector Zubair Ahmed, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
