Equality in All Spheres of Life Essential in Pashtun-Baloch Joint Province: Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) – A dignified joining ceremony organized by the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party was held under the chairmanship of the party’s central general secretary Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, where dozens of individuals announced their joining of the party.
The event was attended by party leaders, workers, and representatives from various areas of Quetta, including Mushtaq Colony and Bariich Colony. Several families and tribal elders formally joined the party during the gathering, including Haji Hanif Khan Bariich, Haji Jumma Khan Lala, Haji Agha Muhammad Lala, Fazal Muhammad, Muhammad Hussain, Haji Malik Muhammad, Amanullah, Abdul Aleem, Karam Shah, Haji Abdul Hakeem, Nazar-ud-Din Lala, and Muhammad Ayub Lala.
Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, Senior Vice President Syed Sharaf Agha, provincial leaders Sardar Idris Khan Bariich and Sardar Hayat Mirzai, and other party representatives welcomed the new members and praised their decision to join the party.
The leaders said that in a joint Pashtun-Baloch province, equality across all sectors of life is essential. They stressed that constitutionally, the rights of Pashtun, Baloch, Sindhi, Seraiki, and Punjabi people over their land and resources must be fully recognized.
They alleged that in the 8 February 2024 elections, so-called “Form 47 representatives” were imposed, leading to the exploitation of public rights. They further claimed that silence over the rights of Pashtuns is unacceptable and that those responsible must answer to the public.
The speakers stated that the country is currently facing severe crises, including deteriorating law and order, rising terrorism incidents, and economic hardship. They alleged that Pashtuns are being economically targeted through restrictions on employment and livelihoods.
They also highlighted issues such as prolonged power outages during extreme heat, gas shortages, scarcity of clean drinking water, declining groundwater levels, and the deteriorating state of education and health sectors. They accused government institutions of corruption, commission-based practices, and administrative failure, saying that public service delivery has been severely affected.
Referring to the situation in Quetta, the leaders said that basic civic facilities are absent in most areas of the city, except for a few selected localities. They expressed concern over rising crime, including theft, robbery, and violent incidents, stating that citizens are being killed or permanently disabled over minor valuables such as motorcycles and mobile phones.
They further alleged that law enforcement agencies have failed to protect citizens and criticized police performance, claiming involvement of certain elements in corruption, protection of criminal networks, and drug mafias.
The speakers also said that highways across the province have become unsafe despite the presence of checkpoints and toll plazas, with incidents of abduction and killings continuing unchecked.
They urged the public to support the democratic movement “Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan,” led by party chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai, stating that the movement aims to resolve the country’s crises and ensure public prosperity and development.
