PkNAP Inaugurates Provincial Secretariat in Peshawar, Calls for United National Front for Pashtun Rights

**Peshawar:** The Pakhtunkhwa National Awami Party (PkNAP) inaugurated its provincial secretariat in Peshawar, marking the occasion with a large, organized, and well-attended gathering of party workers and leaders. The ceremony was presided over by PkNAP Co-Chairman Mukhtar Khan Yousafzai.
Senior party leaders, including Senior Deputy Chairman and former senator Raza Muhammad Raza, Deputy Chairman Hamid Khan of Malakand, Provincial President (former MPA South Pakhtunkhwa) Nasrullah Khan Ziaray, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Ashraf Khan Hoti, Provincial Vice President Bahadur Sher Afghan, and Pakhtunkhwa Students Organization (PSO) Provincial Organizer Ghairat Khan Yousafzai, addressed the gathering. The event began with recitation from the Holy Quran by central committee member Ali Haider Khan.
A large number of central and provincial party leaders, representatives from various districts, tribal elders, and students of the Pakhtunkhwa Students Organization attended the ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, Mukhtar Khan Yousafzai congratulated party workers on the establishment of the provincial secretariat in what he described as the historic center of Pakhtunkhwa politics. He said the secretariat would serve as a strong political and national hub for the Pashtun national movement. He stressed that PkNAP is not merely an electoral or parliamentary party, but a comprehensive political force committed to the national liberation, unity, and sovereignty of the Pashtun people.
He expressed concern over what he termed the most challenging phase in Pashtun history, stating that despite growing political awareness among the masses, national political leadership has remained silent. He urged all political workers to unite under PkNAP to launch a collective struggle for national emancipation.
Calling for unity among all Pashtun political parties, Yousafzai appealed for the formation of a joint national front to resolve long-standing political and national issues and to free the Pashtun people from oppression. He highlighted decades of displacement, destruction of homes and businesses, and exploitation of natural and mineral resources in Pashtun regions under the guise of the war on terror. He also expressed concern over the renewed displacement of residents from the Tirah valley, alleging that the primary motive behind such actions is control over mineral resources.
The PkNAP leader emphasized the need for a genuine democratic system in which all nationalities enjoy equal rights in parliament, the armed forces, and federal institutions. Referring to Afghanistan, he said the country’s problems have worsened despite four years of Taliban rule. He reiterated the party’s stance that Afghanistan’s crisis can only be resolved through an inclusive Loya Jirga, restoration of the constitution and institutions, and full protection of human rights, particularly women’s education and freedoms.
Concluding his address, Mukhtar Khan Yousafzai said that those demanding the release of former prime minister Imran Khan should also raise their voices for the release of Ali Wazir, stressing that justice must be equal and impartial for all.
