PPP–Government Budget Dispute Persists as Bilawal Bhutto Delays National Assembly Speech

ISLAMABAD: Differences between the government and the Pakistan Peoples Party (Pakistan Peoples Party) over the federal budget could not be resolved, leading PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to postpone his speech during the National Assembly budget debate in protest.

According to PPP sources, senior party leader Naveed Qamar briefed Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in detail regarding the budget matters.

During the briefing, it was conveyed that there are significant discrepancies between the budget proposals and figures shared with the PPP during consultations and those presented in the National Assembly.

Party sources said the leadership expressed serious concern over these inconsistencies and is expected to seek an immediate explanation from the government.

They further added that a high-level PPP delegation will soon contact government representatives to address the issue.

Following these developments, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari postponed his scheduled speech in the National Assembly budget debate.
