Pukhtunkhwa National Awami Party Announces Grand Public Gatherings in Brishor and Sherani, Vows Continued Struggle Against Resource Exploitation and Insecurity

Quetta (Kudrat News) — The central secretariat of the Pukhtunkhwa National Awami Party, in a press release, announced that the party will hold a grand public gathering in Brishor Bazaar on the fourth day of Eid-ul-Azha, May 30 (Saturday), while a district conference and public meeting will be held in District Sherani on the fifth day of Eid, May 31 (Sunday).
According to the press release, both major political and public gatherings will be addressed by party Chairman and Member of National Assembly Khushal Khan Kakakhel, along with central, provincial, and district leaders.
The statement said that the current political situation, growing insecurity in Pukhtunkhwa homeland, terrorism, lawlessness, seizure of national resources, illegal land allotments, deforestation, and exploitation of mineral resources have created serious concern among the public.
The party strongly rejected the so-called “Mines and Minerals Act 2025,” terming it illegal and unconstitutional, and called it a conspiracy to seize the natural resources of Pukhtunkhwa. It alleged that federal institutions are attempting to establish unlawful control over mineral wealth while depriving local people of their rightful ownership.
The press release emphasized that the people of Pukhtunkhwa have the first and foremost right over their natural resources and that any external control over these resources would not be accepted under any circumstances.
It further stated that illegal allotment of millions of acres of land in various districts has caused severe difficulties for local populations and demanded immediate cancellation of such allocations.
Expressing concern over rampant deforestation, the party said it is contributing to environmental degradation, climate change, and economic losses for local communities. It called for urgent measures to protect forests and prevent further damage.
The statement also highlighted rising incidents of terrorism, target killings, kidnappings for ransom, and highway robberies, saying that government institutions have failed to ensure public safety.
The party demanded immediate restoration of law and order in the region and strict, impartial action against criminal elements.
In conclusion, the party urged youth, students, workers, farmers, traders, and people from all walks of life to participate in the gatherings in large numbers to strengthen the struggle for national rights, resources, peace, and development in the region.
