Islamabad: Authorities in Mohmand District have decided to close 53 educational institutions indefinitely due to security concerns.
According to an official notification issued by the district administration and the education department, schools in the border areas of Baizai, Khwizai, and Safi tehsils have been temporarily suspended.
The statement said the decision was taken in light of tense Pakistan-Afghanistan border conditions, with the safety of students and staff as the top priority. Authorities added that a review of the situation will determine when the schools can reopen.
