Farhan and Haris Deny Allegations at ICC Hearing on BCCI Complaint

Islamabad: Pakistan’s opening batter Sahibzada Farhan and fast bowler Haris Rauf appeared before the International Cricket Council (ICC) following a complaint lodged by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Both players strongly denied the allegations during the hearing.
According to details, the hearing was conducted by ICC match referee Richie Richardson, who questioned the two cricketers extensively. Sources revealed that Farhan refused to admit any wrongdoing, stating: *“Pathan people celebrate in this manner; the celebration was not meant to prove anything against India.”*
Haris Rauf also dismissed the claims, saying: *“I did not make any political gesture.”* When asked by the referee about the meaning of the “six-zero” sign, Haris responded by counter-questioning: *“You tell me, what does it mean?”*
Reports suggest that both players may face only a warning or a minor fine from their match fees.
Meanwhile, in a parallel case, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had lodged a complaint against Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav for making political remarks after a match. The hearing on that matter concluded yesterday, and a decision is expected today.
