Balochistan Government Committed to Equal Development of All Districts, Says CM Sarfraz Bugti
QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to ensuring balanced development across all districts, saying that every tribe and community in Balochistan is an integral part of the province and deserves equal opportunities for progress.
The remarks came during a meeting with a high-level delegation from Musakhel, led by Chief of Gharshin Sardar Syed Asad Zaman Gharshin. The delegation included former Deputy Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly Sardar Babar Khan Musakhel, former provincial minister Maulana Ghulam Sarwar, representatives of Union Councils Andarpur and Rarasham, tribal elders, and political leaders.
During the meeting, the delegation briefed the chief minister on the district’s administrative, developmental, and public welfare challenges. They also presented proposals aimed at improving infrastructure, communication networks, and the delivery of essential public services.
Bugti assured the delegation that the Balochistan government remains committed to its vision of equitable and balanced development throughout the province. He said development projects are being planned in consultation with elected representatives, tribal elders, and local leadership to ensure they address the actual needs of the people, particularly those living in remote and underdeveloped areas.
The chief minister said the government’s top priority is to integrate underdeveloped districts into the mainstream of national development by making effective use of available resources.
He noted that a special development package had been allocated for Washuk district during the previous fiscal year and said the government would now focus on the development and welfare of Musakhel alongside other underdeveloped districts during the current fiscal year.
“All tribes and people of Balochistan are our own,” Bugti said, adding that the government is taking practical steps, without discrimination, to promote development, prosperity, and improve the quality of life across every region of the province.
He also pledged that no district or area of Balochistan would be left behind in the province’s development journey.
Provincial Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Imran Zarkoon, and Staff Officer Syed Ahmed Shah Gharshin were also present at the meeting.
