TikToker Sumbal Malik Denies Link to Viral Audio Allegedly Involving Former MPA Mian Naveed

LAHORE: TikToker and social media influencer Sumbal Malik has strongly denied any connection to a viral audio recording allegedly linked to former Punjab Assembly member Mian Naveed, claiming the recording appears to have been generated using artificial intelligence (AI).
In an audio statement released after the clip circulated on social media, Sumbal Malik said she does not know Mian Naveed and has never had any contact or relationship with him.
“I am Sumbal Malik, a social media influencer. I do not know any Mian Naveed, nor do I have any association with him,” she said.
She further claimed that the viral audio appears to have been created using AI technology, suggesting it may have been fabricated by individuals seeking to target the former lawmaker.

Sumbal Malik categorically denied that the woman heard in the recording is her or that the voice belongs to her.
“I have never spoken to or communicated with Mian Naveed. Associating my name with this matter is baseless and misleading,” she said.
The clarification comes a day after an alleged audio call attributed to former MPA Mian Naveed went viral on social media. The recording purportedly featured a woman demanding a car and a house. However, Sumbal Malik has rejected claims that she was the woman in the recording, maintaining that neither the voice nor the identity in the clip is hers.
