Fawad Chaudhry Says Meeting Imran Khan Is Impossible Without Establishment’s Consent
ISLAMABAD: Members of the National Dialogue Committee have approached the Islamabad High Court seeking permission to meet Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, at Adiala Jail to discuss the country’s political situation and national issues.
Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry, along with Mahmood Moulvi and Imran Ismail, appeared before the court on Wednesday and filed the petition through advocate Faisal Fareed Chaudhry.
According to the petition, the applicants are close associates and longtime friends of the PTI founder and wish to meet him and Bushra Bibi to discuss the current political deadlock. The petition also expresses concern over the treatment of Imran Khan in prison and requests the court to grant permission for the meeting.
Speaking to the media after filing the petition, Fawad Chaudhry claimed that no meeting with Imran Khan is possible without the consent of the establishment.

He said the committee’s approach differs from others because it seeks to resolve political issues through dialogue rather than confrontation.
“The establishment must listen to us, and Imran Khan must understand our position, so that a practical solution to the political deadlock can be found,” Fawad said, adding that negotiations remain the only viable path to move the country forward.
He also said that advocate Faisal Fareed Chaudhry would personally argue the case before the Islamabad High Court. Fawad described him as an experienced constitutional lawyer who has represented PTI in several important legal cases and is well aware of both the legal and political sensitivities surrounding the matter.
Expressing optimism, Fawad Chaudhry said he hoped the legal initiative would not only secure permission for the meeting but also help pave the way for meaningful political dialogue among all stakeholders in the interest of Pakistan.
