PCB Decides to Immediately Sell Multan Sultans Franchise

**Lahore (Qudrat Daily):**
A major development has emerged regarding the PSL franchise Multan Sultans, as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to proceed with its immediate sale.

According to sources, following the successful bidding of two new PSL teams, PCB officials are now preparing the necessary paperwork to advertise the auction of Multan Sultans, with a formal advertisement expected to be issued soon. The PCB is hopeful of generating a substantial amount from the sale of the franchise.

Earlier, the PCB had announced that it would operate Multan Sultans itself for one year in the current season. However, after the record-breaking sale of two PSL franchises and strong interest from foreign investors, it has now been agreed to auction Multan Sultans as well.

Similar to the bidding process for the Hyderabad and Sialkot teams held in Islamabad, Multan Sultans will also be sold through an open bidding process in the coming days, in accordance with PPRA rules.

Former owner Ali Tareen may also participate in the open bidding, subject to meeting the advertisement’s terms and conditions, and could once again become the owner of Multan Sultans. As a result, Multan Sultans are expected to compete in PSL Season 11 under new ownership.
