Agha Salman Criticizes Controversial Run-Out in Pakistan-Bangladesh ODI

Pakistan middle-order batter **Salman Ali Agha** has reacted to the controversial run-out during the second One-Day International against **Bangladesh national cricket team**, saying he would have made a different decision if he were in the opposition captain’s position.

The incident took place at **Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium** in **Dhaka**, where Bangladesh captain **Mehidy Hasan Miraz** ran out Agha Salman at the non-striker’s end. The dismissal sparked controversy, with the Pakistani batter visibly upset as he walked back to the pavilion.

Former Pakistan cricketers **Ramiz Raja** and **Hammad Hafeez** also criticized the move, calling it against the spirit of sportsmanship. The Bangladesh captain faced strong criticism on social media following the incident.

Speaking at a post-match press conference, Agha Salman acknowledged that the run-out was legal according to cricket laws but said that the spirit of the game should have been considered in that situation.

He explained that he believed the ball had become dead after hitting the pad and bat, which is why he attempted to return it to the bowler.

Earlier in the match, Bangladesh won the toss and invited **Pakistan national cricket team** to bat first. Pakistan scored 274 runs in 47.3 overs. During Bangladesh’s chase, rain interrupted play, and after the match resumed, the target was revised to 243 runs in 32 overs under the **Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method**.

Bangladesh were eventually bowled out for 114 runs in 23.3 overs, giving Pakistan a 128-run victory under the DLS method.

The three-match ODI series is now level at 1-1, with the decisive match scheduled to be played on Sunday.
