Traffic Disruptions Expected on Srinagar Highway Due to Foreign Team’s Arrival

Islamabad Traffic Police has announced that due to the arrival and departure of a foreign team, there will be route restrictions on the Srinagar Highway today from 8 AM to 10 AM. The route restrictions will cause traffic delays along the highway.

To avoid inconvenience, citizens are advised to use alternative routes such as underpasses and service roads connected to the main highways. The Traffic Police recommends that travelers leave 20 minutes earlier to avoid delays.

During this time, the Islamabad Chowk Bridge and IJP Road will remain open. Traffic coming from B17, B15, H13, and G13/14 towards Blue Area or F-6 can use the Margalla Road. For traveling towards Blue Area, the 9th Avenue and H-8 underpass should be used.

For traffic heading to the Red Zone, Margalla Road, Express Chowk, Ayub Chowk, and Nadra Chowk will be accessible. Those traveling from the Red Zone to Faizabad can use the Convention Center and Club Road route. Traffic from the Expressway to the Red Zone can take the Faizabad, Park Road, and Convention Center routes.

To assist citizens, Islamabad Traffic Police will be stationed at key points. For any travel difficulties or guidance, residents can contact the Traffic Helpline at 1915. The Traffic Police’s social media platform will also provide timely updates on traffic routes.
