National Assembly Unanimously Passes Resolutions Condemning India’s Actions on Kashmir Exploitation Day

Islamabad: On the occasion of Kashmir Exploitation Day (Youm-e-Istehsal), Pakistan’s National Assembly unanimously passed two resolutions condemning India’s illegal and unilateral actions in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, carried out on August 5, 2019.
According to private TV channel Dunya News, the first resolution was presented by Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Engineer Amir Muqam. He strongly denounced India’s discriminatory and oppressive actions in Kashmir, stating that the Indian government continues to inflict tyranny and violence in the occupied territory. He further noted that recent resistance efforts have crushed Indian arrogance and boosted the morale of the Kashmiri people.
The resolution also criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party’s decision to call for protests on August 5, labeling it as disappointing and inappropriate.
The second resolution, presented in English by PPP MNA Shazia Marri, emphasized that India’s unilateral actions cannot alter the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir. It reaffirmed that the resolution of the Kashmir issue must be in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Marri’s resolution described August 5 as a “Black Day” and stated that since that date, an unending series of human rights violations has continued in the region. She reiterated that the Pakistani nation will continue to support the oppressed Kashmiris at every international forum.
Both resolutions reflect Pakistan’s firm stance on the Kashmir dispute and its continued commitment to advocating for the rights of the Kashmiri people.
