High-Level Meeting Reviews Appointment Process of Senior Pakistani Experts in International Organizations

Islamabad: A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar to review the appointment process of senior Pakistani experts in international organizations.
The meeting focused on evaluating Pakistan’s participation and representation at the global level, emphasizing the need for transparency, merit-based selection, and alignment with national interests in all international appointments.
Federal Ministers for Economic Affairs and Climate Change, Special Assistant Tariq Bajwa, Minister of State for Railways, Secretaries of Establishment and Economic Affairs Division (EAD), along with senior officials from relevant ministries attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Ishaq Dar stressed that eligibility, a transparent process, and national interest should be given top priority in all international appointments. He highlighted that such measures would enhance Pakistan’s global image and help the country achieve its national objectives more effectively.
