Pakistan Stands as a Wall Between Terrorism and the World: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi

Islamabad:Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a significant meeting with a delegation of U.S. Congressmen in Islamabad, during which he emphasized that Pakistan acts as a wall between terrorism and the rest of the world, calling terrorism a global challenge.
The U.S. delegation included Congressmen Jack Bergman, Tom Suozzi, and Jonathan Jackson. Also present at the meeting were Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Acting U.S. Ambassador Natalie Baker, and Federal Interior Secretary Khurram Agha.
The discussions centered on bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest, including economic, trade, and investment cooperation. Key issues such as security, counterterrorism, and border management were also deliberated.
Naqvi underlined the importance of sustainable ties with the United States, stating that such relations hold a pivotal position in Pakistan’s foreign policy. He welcomed the upcoming Pakistan Caucus in the U.S. Congress on April 30 and reiterated that the global community must offer robust support to Pakistan in its fight against terrorism.
Highlighting Pakistan’s unmatched sacrifices in the war against terrorism, the Interior Minister stressed the importance of intelligence and technology sharing in counterterrorism efforts. He also termed the visit of the U.S. Congressmen as vital in recognizing Pakistan’s critical role in the global fight against terrorism.
Naqvi further appreciated the U.S. delegation’s participation in the upcoming Minerals Investment Forum 2025, assuring full protection and facilitation for foreign investors by the government.
Minister of State Talal Chaudhry announced that the upcoming Joint Counterterrorism Dialogue scheduled in Islamabad this June will further strengthen bilateral cooperation in counterterrorism.
The visiting U.S. lawmakers acknowledged Pakistan’s significant role in combating terrorism and praised the talent and contributions of the Pakistani-American community in the United States.
