Interior Minister Calls for Independent Global Committee to Probe Pahalgam and Jaffarabad Attacks

Lahore: Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi has called for the formation of an independent committee comprising international experts to conduct transparent investigations into the recent attacks in Pahalgam (India) and Jaffarabad (Pakistan). Speaking at a press conference held at the FIA district office, Naqvi revealed that Pakistan has offered India full cooperation for an impartial investigation into the Pahalgam incident.
The interior minister accused India of being directly involved in terrorism within Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and stated that credible evidence of Indian involvement exists. “We are ready to present these proofs to a neutral international investigative committee,” he said.
Naqvi emphasized that organizations like the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) are closely linked with India’s intelligence agency RAW. He further added that India cannot digest Pakistan’s economic stability and is attempting to sabotage it through terrorism.
“The world needs to see how a country that claims to be the world’s largest democracy is exploiting terrorism to achieve its strategic objectives,” Naqvi stated. He reiterated that Pakistan has no direct or indirect connection to terrorism and has always stood firm on its principled stance regarding the Kashmir issue.
On Kashmir, the minister stressed that the ongoing freedom movement is indigenous and reflects the will of the local population. He called for a resolution of the disputed issue in line with UN resolutions.
Naqvi also revealed that Pakistani security forces had foiled 160 IED attacks in the past three days alone. He criticized India for never condemning terrorist incidents in Pakistan and questioned how an FIR in the Pahalgam case was registered within ten minutes, despite standard procedures requiring the scene to be sealed for hours.
He concluded by stating that Pakistan will expose the truth behind the Pahalgam incident to the world and will not allow the narrative to be manipulated through what he termed as a “drama.”
