Woman SHO Arrested in Lahore for Possessing Illegal Weapon Used in Robbery

Lahore: The Station House Officer (SHO) of the Women Police Station in Lytton Road, Lahore, has been arrested on charges of illegally possessing a 9mm pistol at her residence, which was allegedly used in a robbery.
According to a private media report, the action was taken on the orders of DIG Operations Faisal Kamran under the department’s zero-tolerance policy towards abuse of power, corruption, and mismanagement.
Local police confirmed that the arrest followed an investigation prompted by a suspect’s revelation. The suspect, involved in a street crime, had disclosed to the police that the 9mm pistol used in the robbery was in the unlawful possession of the female SHO.
Acting on this claim, police raided the SHO’s residence, where they recovered the weapon.
As a result of this operation, SHO Saniya was arrested, and a case has been registered against her under the orders of DIG Operations Faisal Kamran.
