No Immediate Prospect for PTI Founder’s Release, Says Federal Minister Ata Tarar

Islamabad:Federal Minister for Information, Ata Tarar, has stated that there is no immediate possibility of releasing the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, at this time.

In an interview with Geo News, Tarar explained that Imran Khan has not yet been granted bail in any of the eight cases related to the events of May 9. He further added that while Khan has secured bail in the *Toshakhana* case (Case 2), the trial is still ongoing, and there is substantial evidence against him. As the case progresses in the trial court, his bail could be revoked.

When asked about the possibility of negotiations, Tarar questioned who would guarantee that PTI would remain peaceful. He emphasized that it was well-known that the directives for the violent incidents on May 9 came directly from PTI leadership.

The statement comes amid continued legal challenges for the PTI leader, who faces multiple cases related to the May 9 protests and other charges.
