BNP Qalat Condemns Closure of Border Trade, Terms It an Attack on Baloch People’s Livelihood

Qalat:The district spokesperson of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) in Qalat has issued a statement condemning the closure of border trade, calling it equivalent to taking away the livelihood of the Baloch people. The BNP strongly criticized the current provincial government’s anti-labor policies and the government’s actions, which they believe are depriving Baloch farmers of their basic means of survival.

The spokesperson highlighted that in Balochistan, the primary sources of employment are limited, with farming and border trade being the main livelihoods for the people. However, the government’s recent actions, particularly through Form 47, are seen as an attempt to strip the people of these essential means of income.

Despite the wealth of natural resources and coastal assets in Balochistan, the local population struggles to earn a living, the statement continued. The spokesperson further criticized both the establishment and the current government for forcing the Baloch people and other communities in the province into extreme poverty and hunger, despite the region being blessed with abundant resources.

The BNP made it clear that the party will not abandon the Baloch people in these difficult times. They also condemned the closure of agricultural and Probox vehicles based on government checks, and vowed to continue their fight against these unjust policies.
