Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, through his lawyer Salman Akram Raja, has sent a detailed letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi and Acting Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court, Justice Sarfraz Dogar. The letter highlights over 200 legal cases against him.

Rawalpindi: The founding Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has sent a letter to Chief Justice Yahya Afridi and Acting Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court, Justice Sarfraz Dogar. The letter, written on behalf of Imran Khan by his legal counsel Salman Akram Raja, is titled “The State of the Constitution and the Enforcement of Law in Pakistan.” In the letter, Imran Khan refers to more than 200 cases filed against him.
Imran Khan has termed the detention of himself and his wife, Bushra Bibi, as a politically motivated and vengeful action. The letter also mentions key PTI leaders, including Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Umar Sufraz Cheema, Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed, and Ijaz Chaudhry.
The letter reveals that in the past four months, Imran Khan was allowed to speak to his sons twice over the phone. However, neither his wife Bushra Bibi was allowed to meet him, nor was he provided with newspapers to read. Imran Khan was reportedly kept in a small cell for several days.
The letter further states that due to the lack of trial hearings in prison, Imran Khan has not been able to meet his family or lawyers for the past two months. The document also highlights that, according to the list, he has not been allowed meetings with his legal team.
Additionally, the letter refers to the elections on February 8, the PTI’s November 26 rally, and the 26th constitutional amendment, which granted the constitutional bench the authority to decide on military courts and reserved seats.
