Karachi: Popular TV host and actress Nida Yasir recently apologized on air to actress Anmol Baloch for spreading false rumors about her marriage during her morning show.
It all started when Nida Yasir claimed, during a special Eid transmission, that Anmol Baloch had gotten married, which left the audience stunned. However, Nida later admitted her mistake on her show, acknowledging that she should have verified the information before making any statements.
She explained that an unnamed showbiz personality had casually mentioned Anmol Baloch’s wedding to her, and those details had stuck in her mind, which she mistakenly shared during the Eid show.
During the same Eid show, singer Falak Shabir and actress Sarah Khan, who were guests, congratulated all the newlywed couples, naming them individually, including Anmol Baloch. Following this, rumors began to spread about Anmol Baloch secretly tying the knot. However, Anmol Baloch took to social media to clarify that she was not married and debunked all the rumors.
Nida Yasir, acknowledging her mistake, emphasized that making announcements about someone’s personal life, especially regarding a woman’s marriage, without confirmation is inappropriate. She also pointed out that such mistakes can lead to unnecessary speculation and personal issues later.
