Balochistan Government Spokesman Condemns B.Y.C. Blockade, Police Clash Results in Injuries

The spokesperson for the Balochistan government has condemned the Baloch Youth Conference (B.Y.C.) for blocking the national highway, causing significant inconvenience to the public, particularly travelers coming from Karachi and other cities. Balochistan government spokesman Shahid Rind stated that the protestors disrupted the flow of traffic, putting passengers in distress.
He further explained that the police took legal action to clear the highway, but the protesters responded by throwing stones and resorting to violence. As a result, ten individuals, including a female police constable and other police personnel, were injured during the confrontation. These injured individuals were transferred to a hospital for treatment.
The spokesman also mentioned that during the protest, the bodies of deceased individuals were placed on the road. However, the reasons behind the protest could not be confirmed until the bodies were brought to the hospital for necessary legal procedures.
Shahid Rind emphasized that the protestors were causing disruption and chaos by disturbing public order, and stressed that taking the law into one’s own hands would not be tolerated. He made it clear that if the law was violated and peace was disrupted, the government would not remain a silent observer.
The spokesperson concluded by reaffirming that the protection of the lives and property of the public is the constitutional responsibility of the government, and it would fulfill this duty without fail.
