Indian Woman Gives Birth to Four Babies Over Five Days in Rare Medical Case

A rare medical case has been reported in India’s Uttar Pradesh state, where a 31-year-old woman gave birth to four babies over a period of five days.
According to Indian media reports, a Muslim woman identified as Amina from Sambhal district delivered four children — two boys and two girls — through normal delivery.
Hospital officials said Amina, a resident of Ovary village, gave birth to her first baby on May 9, while the remaining three children were delivered on May 14.
Doctors stated that despite the pregnancy being classified as high-risk, all four babies were delivered naturally without surgery.
Dr. Shubhra Agrawal, who headed the medical team, said it was the first case in the hospital’s history in which quadruplets were delivered normally.
Hospital authorities added that the newborns have been placed on ventilator support as a precautionary measure, but their condition is stable. The mother is also reported to be healthy.
According to Dr. Agrawal, once ultrasound reports confirmed the presence of four babies, a special medical team closely monitored Amina throughout her pregnancy.
Doctors had initially advised reducing the number of fetuses because of the risks involved, but the family decided to continue with the pregnancy.
Amina thanked the doctors for their care and said that both she and her babies are doing well. Her husband, Mohammad Alam, said the medical team handled the case with great care and professionalism over the past several months.
