KARACHI:** Former Pakistan cricket captain and legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram has addressed speculation circulating on social media regarding his recent Hajj pilgrimage, clarifying that the journey was entirely his personal decision.
Akram performed Hajj this year alongside former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq and television presenter Fakhr Alam. Photos and videos of the trio during the pilgrimage gained widespread attention on social media.
In a statement shared online, Akram expressed gratitude for being blessed with the opportunity to perform Hajj.

The former captain said that many people had been speculating about who arranged or sponsored the trip, but emphasized that the pilgrimage was solely the result of his own personal choice.
“Many people speculated about who facilitated this journey and how it happened, but the reality is that it was entirely my personal decision. I had reached a spiritual stage in my life where performing Hajj had become essential,” he stated.
Akram further described the pilgrimage as a life-changing experience, saying it ignited a divine spark within his soul that would continue to shine throughout his life.
He also prayed that many others would be inspired to undertake the sacred journey and experience the same spiritual fulfillment and blessings that he received during Hajj.
