Pakistan Begins Post-Hajj Repatriation Flights from Saudi Arabia on May 31

KARACHI:** Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that flights carrying Pakistani pilgrims back from Saudi Arabia will begin on May 31 following the completion of Hajj rituals.

According to the ministry, the first post-Hajj flight will depart from Jeddah on the night of May 31 and arrive in Sialkot, bringing 391 pilgrims back to Pakistan.

Most return flights under the Hajj operation are scheduled to land in various Pakistani cities on June 1. On that day alone, 22 flights carrying a total of 5,237 pilgrims are expected to arrive across the country.

The ministry stated that on the first day of the operation, five flights will arrive in Islamabad, while Karachi and Lahore will each receive four flights. Three flights each will land in Multan and Sialkot, two in Faisalabad, and one in Quetta.

Officials further confirmed that the final Hajj flight is scheduled to arrive in Lahore on June 30. Flights departing from Madinah for the return operation will commence on June 3.

Under the government Hajj scheme, approximately 119,000 Pakistani pilgrims will be transported home through a total of 471 flights during the month-long repatriation operation.
