Sindh Home Minister Announces Jail Court Trial for Anmol Alias Pinky

Karachi: Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar has announced that the trial of alleged drug suspect Anmol alias “Pinky” will be conducted in a jail court.

Addressing the Sindh Assembly, the provincial home minister said authorities had arrested Pinky and would also apprehend her alleged associates. He added that the government would disclose the names of all individuals arrested in connection with narcotics cases.

Lanjar stated that Pinky had openly challenged authorities to arrest her, and law enforcement agencies had now taken action. “We have arrested her, and her accomplices will also be arrested,” he said, adding that the government had decided to hold her trial inside jail premises through a jail court.

The Sindh home minister further said that action against the sale of gutka and mawa was ongoing in Karachi and Hyderabad. He claimed that individuals involved in the illegal trade often secure bail easily, but police were continuing operations against such activities.
