Serious Negligence and Corruption Alleged in Construction of Quetta-Karachi Highway, Says Opposition Leader Younus Aziz Zehri

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta) — Opposition Leader in the Balochistan Assembly Younus Aziz Zehri has strongly criticized the condition and alleged poor construction work of the Quetta–Karachi Highway during a provincial assembly session.
He accused the National Highway Authority (NHA) of negligence, corruption, and poor oversight, saying that the road deteriorated again within just a week of repair and reconstruction work.
Addressing the assembly, Zehri stated that the poor condition of the highway has led to a continuous rise in road accidents, resulting in the loss of precious human lives. He questioned the performance and accountability of the concerned authorities responsible for the project.
Taking serious notice of the issue, Deputy Speaker Ghizala Gola expressed strong displeasure and directed that NHA officials be summoned immediately to the assembly for explanation regarding the substandard condition of the highway.
The opposition leader demanded urgent corrective measures to ensure road safety and accountability in the ongoing construction and maintenance work of the vital national highway.
