Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party Condemns Controversial Provincial Decision, Demands Immediate Reversal

Peshawar (Qudrat Roznama) – The Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PNAP) has strongly condemned the provincial government’s controversial decision to separate Zhob District from the Sibi Division and include southern districts in the Quetta Division. The party described the move as anti-Pashtun, anti-public, unconstitutional, undemocratic, and malicious.

The statement emphasized that Zhob District’s affiliation with Sibi Division is based on historical, cultural, and social grounds, and that including southern districts in Quetta threatens the political and geographical integrity of the Pashtun homeland. PNAP accused the government of carrying out the decision for political engineering, potential redistricting, and to protect specific interests.

PNAP demanded the immediate reversal of this unconstitutional and non-transparent decision. The party warned that if the government fails to act, it reserves the right to pursue legal action, organize widespread protests, and launch public awareness campaigns to safeguard citizens’ democratic and constitutional rights.

The statement concluded that PNAP will continue to defend the historical identity, territorial unity, and constitutional rights of the Pashtun people at all levels and will not accept any imposed decisions.
