Dr Abdul Malik Baloch Calls for Education-Led Development to Uplift Sariab

Quetta: National Party President Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said that Sariab has been deliberately kept underdeveloped for decades under a systematic and planned agenda, depriving its residents of basic facilities, quality education, and development opportunities. He emphasized that education—particularly quality and technical education—is the only viable path through which the people of Sariab can safeguard their political, social, and economic rights.
He expressed these views while addressing National Party office-bearers, workers, and local elders at the residence of Malik Faisal Shahwani. On the occasion, National Party’s Provincial Farmers Secretary Haji Farooq Shahwani also spoke.
Dr Malik Baloch said that the joining of Malik Faisal Shahwani and Malik Shehryar Shahwani, along with their associates, reflects confidence in the National Party’s leadership and national politics. He added that Sariab and Mastung have historically been centers of national consciousness and nationalism, but these areas were intentionally weakened to keep the people politically ineffective.
He said that the National Party does not believe in opportunistic or short-term politics, but stands for ideology, principles, and the people’s right to self-governance. The party’s ideological politics, he added, are based on the conscious political training of its workers.
Dr Malik Baloch further stated that Balochistan is often viewed merely as a geographical region rather than a national and political entity, and decisions are made on that basis, which he termed an injustice to the province. He described the issue of missing persons as a serious humanitarian problem that has affected every household in Balochistan.
Reiterating his party’s stance, he said that the National Party believes in political and democratic struggle, stressing that only an organized political party can guarantee national survival and the protection of public rights.
Several senior leaders and party members were present at the gathering, including National Party Vice President Dr Ishaq Baloch, Central Spokesperson Ali Ahmed Lango, Provincial Farmers Secretary Haji Farooq Shahwani, District Labour Secretary Nasrullah Shahwani, senior leader Haji Waheed Shahwani, Malik Saifullah Shahwani, Malik Manzoor Shahwani, Abdul Aziz Sarparah, Chairman Aslam Baloch, Haji Nawaz Bangulzai, Haji Idris Shahwani, Muhammad Azam Kurd, Muhammad Iqbal Sarparah, Agha Muhammad Shah, contractor Ilyas Mengal, Gul Nawaz Bangulzai, Irshad Lango, and Huzoor Bakhsh Bangulzai.
