Erdogan Says Netanyahu’s ‘War of Survival’ Burdening Entire World

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has criticized the ongoing Middle East conflict, saying it is a “war of survival” for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu but its consequences are being borne by the entire world.
Speaking after a cabinet meeting in Ankara, Erdogan said that Türkiye is pursuing a cautious and balanced strategy during the ongoing regional tensions, maintaining both brotherly and neighborly relations while avoiding escalation.
He remarked that recent weeks have made it clear that although the conflict is centered on Israel, its impact is global. “This is Netanyahu’s war of survival, but eight billion people are paying the price,” Erdogan said, urging an immediate halt to what he described as a system of violence under Netanyahu’s leadership.
Erdogan stressed that all countries must adopt a bold and proactive stance, warning that rigid and excessive demands should not undermine diplomatic efforts for peace.
He also reiterated Türkiye’s commitment to promoting stability in Iran, adding that the ongoing tensions involving the United States and Israel have engulfed the region.
The Turkish president warned that the conflict is driving up global energy prices and impacting economies, including Türkiye’s, adding that his government is taking steps to mitigate economic fallout caused by the crisis.
