Direct Air Link Between Pakistan and Bangladesh Restored After 14 Years; First Flight from Dhaka Lands in Karachi

**Quetta:** After a gap of 14 years, direct flights between Pakistan and Bangladesh have resumed. Express News reported that the first flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying passengers from Dhaka arrived in Karachi, where it received a historic and ceremonial welcome at the airport.

The aircraft was greeted on the runway with traditional honors, and a cake-cutting ceremony was held at the airport, attended by the Governor of Sindh. The Governor called the moment historic, praising Pakistan’s diplomatic successes and expressing hope that such achievements would continue.

He emphasized that Pakistan and Bangladesh share a fraternal relationship, adding that previous attempts by India, particularly under Prime Minister Modi, to interfere in bilateral ties had failed. The restoration of direct flights marks a significant step in strengthening diplomatic and people-to-people connections between the two countries.
