ECP Declares 24 Former Members of National and Provincial Assemblies Disqualified for Failing to Submit Asset Declarations

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has declared 24 former members of the National and Provincial Assemblies disqualified for failing to submit their asset declarations for the fiscal year 2022-23. This decision affects 10 former National Assembly members, 7 from the Sindh Assembly, and 7 from the Balochistan Assembly.
The ECP issued a verdict on the case regarding the failure to submit asset details, stating that these former lawmakers will remain disqualified from participating in general elections, by-elections, or Senate elections until they submit their asset details. The lawmakers must submit the forms for the fiscal year 2022-23 before they can regain eligibility.
The disqualified former National Assembly members include Khurram Dastgir Khan, Mohsin Nawaz Ranjha, and Muhammad Adil. Additionally, former National Assembly members Rana Muhammad Ishaq Khan, Kamaluddin, Ismatullah, Sameena Matloob, Naseeba, Shameem Ara Panwar, and Rubina Irfan were also disqualified.
The ECP also disqualified former Sindh Assembly members Adil Ahmed, Hizbullah Bhagio, Arsalan Taj Hussain, Arif Mustafa Jatoi, Imran Ali Shah, Ali Ghulam, and Tahira. Similarly, former Balochistan Assembly members Mir Sikandar Ali, Mir Muhammad Akbar, Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, Abdul Rashid Abdul Wahid Siddiqui, Mir Hamal, and Bibi Shaheenah were declared ineligible.
