Customs Seizes Non-Customs Paid Vehicles and Banned Items Worth Rs 235 Million in Quetta

**Quetta:** Customs Enforcement Quetta on Sunday claimed to have seized a large consignment of non-customs paid (NCP) vehicles and prohibited items during intelligence-based operations, with an estimated value of Rs 235 million.

According to customs officials, the seized items include several high-value passenger vehicles such as Toyota Mark X and Honda Accord, along with commercial vehicles including dumper trucks, bowsers, and trailers. In addition to the vehicles, authorities also confiscated a wide range of illegal goods, including betel nuts, tyres, Chinese salt, solar batteries, and a quantity of silver.

The total assessed Cost, Insurance, and Freight (CIF) value of all confiscated items has been estimated at Rs 235 million.

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) stated that the operations were conducted on the basis of credible intelligence as part of ongoing efforts to curb smuggling and safeguard the national economy through effective border control. The success of these operations was attributed to timely coordination and the significant role played by various law enforcement agencies operating in Balochistan.

Reaffirming its commitment, the FBR said it will continue strict enforcement actions against illegal trade and will work closely with relevant institutions to protect lawful businesses and the country’s economic interests.
