Worrying Rise in Child Disappearances in Quetta Ahead of Eid – Kidnappers Disguised as Beggars and Vendors, Citizens Demand Urgent Action

Quetta – A disturbing surge in child disappearances has been reported in Quetta and surrounding areas in the lead-up to Eid, raising alarm among citizens and local communities. According to reports, over a dozen cases of missing children have been reported in the past week alone, with many of these cases gaining widespread attention on social media platforms.
Sources indicate that non-local individuals are suspected to be involved in several of the recent abduction cases. Citizens have expressed concerns that kidnappers may be operating under the guise of beggars and street vendors, targeting vulnerable children in busy public areas.
Local residents have appealed to the Chief Minister of Balochistan, the Provincial Minister for Social Welfare, the Inspector General of Police Balochistan, the Commissioner of Quetta Division, the Director General of Social Welfare, and the Deputy Commissioner of Quetta to take immediate and effective action against those involved in suspicious activities and illegal begging.
There is a growing demand for strict surveillance and crackdowns on potentially dangerous elements to ensure the safety of children and to alleviate the growing anxiety among parents in the region.
