Indian Journalist Vikrant Gupta Praises Mohsin Naqvi as a Strong PCB Chairman

Mumbai: Renowned Indian sports journalist Vikrant Gupta has said that for the first time, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has a chairman as strong and assertive as Mohsin Naqvi.
Speaking during a television show, Vikrant Gupta remarked that the PCB has finally found a leader who is willing to “look the opposition in the eye and fight back.” He added that Mohsin Naqvi deserves appreciation for taking a firm stance on important matters.
It is worth noting that the Pakistan Cricket Board recently wrote a letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC) regarding Bangladesh Cricket Board’s decision not to travel to India for the World Cup. According to media reports, the PCB supported Bangladesh’s position and endorsed its stance of not playing World Cup matches in India under the prevailing circumstances.
Earlier, Mohsin Naqvi had also halted all preparations for Pakistan’s team for the T20 World Cup, citing unresolved concerns.
In another related development, during the Asia Cup, the Indian team refused to receive the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi after winning, following which the trophy was not presented to the Indian side.
