PSL Governing Council and Franchise Owners to Hold Crucial Meeting Today on Expansion and Commercial Matters

Lahore: The **Pakistan Super League (PSL) administration** and **franchise owners** are set to hold an important meeting today at the **National Cricket Academy**, following a request from team owners for discussions on key issues concerning the league’s future.
According to reliable sources, the meeting will address **concerns regarding PSL 2026 and 2027**, with the **Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)** set to share its stance on various matters. All **six franchises**, including **Multan Sultans**, have been invited to attend.
Franchise representatives have sought briefings on **commercial affairs**, the **event window**, and the **EY evaluation report**. They have also requested clarification on the **procedure for the new two-year title sponsorship agreement**.
Sources further revealed that the PCB has decided to **add two new teams** to the league as PSL marks its **10th anniversary**, with **fresh franchise agreements** to be finalized this month.
PSL Chief Executive Officer **Salman Naseer** stated that the **scope of PSL matches** will now expand beyond Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi to also include **Faisalabad and Peshawar**. He added that **tenders for new teams will be issued in November**, allowing interested investors to **choose city names of their preference** for the upcoming expansion.
