Metropolitan Corporation Can Only Be Run by Elected Representatives, Public Urged to Vote for Tree Symbol on December 28: Syed Sharaf Agha

*Quetta (Daily Qudrat)* Senior Provincial Vice President of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) and Quetta District Secretary, Syed Sharaf Agha, has said that citizens of Quetta continue to suffer due to lack of education, healthcare, employment, and clean drinking water. He emphasized that basic service deficiencies have caused widespread hardship in every area of the city.
Addressing a regional unit conference in Saryab Tehsil, Quetta, Syed Sharaf Agha said the Metropolitan Corporation can only function effectively through elected local representatives. He added that people’s issues at the grassroots level—wards and union councils—can only be resolved when genuine representatives win elections.
He stated that PMAP has nominated true representatives in every regional unit and urged citizens to cast their votes for PMAP candidates, marked with the tree symbol, in the local elections on December 28.
The conference, chaired by Tehsil Secretary Niaz Barich, was also addressed by District Executives Naeem Achakzai, Saifullah Khan, Jamil Khan Achakzai, Naseer Popal, Salahuddin Achakzai, Haji Qasim Khan, Master Mutiullah, Abdul Qahar Achakzai, and Shakur Afghan. Speakers congratulated the newly elected party cabinet and expressed confidence that they would strengthen party activities in the region.
They highlighted that a well-organized party structure is essential to fulfill the vision of Khan Shaheed Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai and other party elders. Speakers also noted that residents of Quetta, particularly in surrounding areas, face severe difficulties due to inadequate education, healthcare, clean drinking water, sanitation, unauthorized load shedding, gas pressure shortages, and other civic issues.
They emphasized that empowering local government institutions is crucial to addressing these problems. Thanks to continuous efforts by the party, local elections in Quetta have been announced. The public was urged to perform their democratic duty on December 28 by voting for PMAP and candidates of the Pakistan Constitution Protection Movement to ensure their victory and effective governance.
