Women’s Empowerment Key to Social Prosperity, Says Balochistan CM Sarfaraz Bugti

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily):** Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti inaugurated the province’s first Pink Bus Service in Quetta, calling it a revolutionary step toward providing women with dignified, safe, and high-quality travel facilities. He noted that the service reflects the vision of Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, expressed on the day Bugti took oath as Chief Minister.

Addressing the launch and the expansion of the Green Bus Service, CM Bugti said the government is committed to providing modern and efficient transport for the people of Balochistan. The Green Bus Service network will be extended to Pishin, Mastung, and Turbat, and significant progress is underway on the Quetta-Saryab People’s Train project, which will benefit urban commuters. Additionally, the government plans to introduce electric buses to address environmental challenges while enhancing public transport services.

Emphasizing women’s empowerment, Bugti stated, “Empowered women are the foundation of social development. Female deputy commissioners in various districts have proven that women can perform as effectively as men in administrative roles.” He highlighted that initiatives such as the Pink Bus Service, scholarships for women, and other development programs are part of a broader effort to create opportunities for women across the province.

The Chief Minister also sent a strong message to elements opposing women’s education and progress, warning that the government is opening doors to world-class universities for Baloch women, and that senseless violence will never benefit the people of Balochistan. Bugti concluded with a firm statement that the state will succeed in this struggle, ensuring peace, development, and a bright future for the province.

The ceremony was attended by provincial ministers, members of the assembly, journalists, civil society representatives, and PPP leaders.
