Government Moves Against Repeated Protests and Road Closures on National Highway N-25; Three-Month Ban Imposed

Section 144 Enforced in Surab, Khuzdar, and Wadh; Patients and Transporters Will Not Be Allowed to Be Held Hostage: Babar Yousafzai
Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta) — Special Assistant for Interior Babar Yousafzai has said that Section 144 has been enforced in Surab, Khuzdar, and Wadh against protests and road closures on the N-25 National Highway, while a three-month ban has been imposed on protests, sit-ins, and obstruction of traffic flow on the national highway. He said that ensuring uninterrupted movement on national highways is among the priorities of the Balochistan government, because the closure of N-25 causes severe difficulties for patients, passengers, traders, and transporters.
Babar Yousafzai further said that effective measures are being taken to end public difficulties and maintain traffic flow, and instructions have been issued to the relevant district administration and police to ensure effective implementation of Section 144. He said the rule of law and establishment of peace will be ensured in every case, as the Balochistan government is committed to public convenience, protection, and the uninterrupted flow of traffic on national highways.
