Jamaat-e-Islami MPA Hidayat-ur-Rehman Blasts Federal, Provincial Governments Over Balochistan’s Deprivation

Quetta:Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member of the Provincial Assembly, **Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch**, has strongly criticized the **federal government, the establishment, security agencies, and successive provincial governments**, holding them responsible for the continued deprivation, underdevelopment, and unrest in Balochistan.

Speaking to journalists during a meeting, Maulana Hidayat said that despite being home to major projects like **CPEC, Saindak, Reko Diq, and the Motorway**, the people of Balochistan remain **excluded from their benefits**. He lamented that the province’s youth are denied opportunities, traders are deprived of trade facilities, and the public lacks access to basic services like education and healthcare.

He further said that **missing persons remain unrecovered**, and instead of addressing legitimate grievances, the state chooses to suppress them with force. “Balochistan has been treated like an orphaned region; denying its people their basic human and economic rights is an unforgivable crime,” he asserted.

Highlighting infrastructure failures, he stated:

* **Railway lines** are almost nonexistent in the province.
* Gas from **Sui (Dera Bugti)** doesn’t reach most of **Zhob, Loralai, and parts of Quetta**.
* **Half of Balochistan** remains without electricity.
* **Sewerage in Quetta** is in disrepair, roads are covered in dust, and there are **no proper job-creating industries**.
* Hospitals, especially **Sandeman Provincial Hospital**, lack **quality medicine and proper facilities**, with severe **shortages of doctors** across district hospitals.
* There are **no national highways** connecting key towns like **Quetta to Sanjavi, Harnai, Ziarat, Duki, Panjgur, Turbat, and Dalbandin**.
* In **rural Balochistan**, clean drinking water, roads, hospitals, and schools are nearly nonexistent.
* Even in tourist spots like **Ziarat**, there are **no facilities** such as roads or chairlifts.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman announced that **Jamaat-e-Islami is launching a movement for the rights of Balochistan**, warning that the party will **march toward Islamabad** and organize a **mass sit-in of 100,000 people in Quetta** to demand justice and basic rights for the province.

He urged **human rights organizations, political parties, and the people of Pakistan** to support Balochistan’s just demands and put an end to its longstanding marginalization.
