Son assaults elderly father over property dispute in Kalat, victim arrives at police station holding Holy Quran

Balochistan – A disturbing incident of domestic violence was reported in Kalat, where a man allegedly assaulted his elderly father over a property dispute, police said on Saturday.
According to details, the victim, identified as Malik Muhammad son of Amir Muhammad Samalani, a resident of Killi Pandrani Kalat, arrived at the local police station in an injured condition while holding the Holy Quran, pleading for justice.
The elderly man stated in his complaint that his son, Yousaf, was pressuring him to transfer ownership of his house and land in his name. Upon refusal, the accused allegedly subjected him to severe physical assault.
SP Kalat Zahid Hussain Shah took immediate notice of the incident, terming it inhumane, and directed SHO City Habib-ur-Rehman Babai and Additional SHO Jameel Aalizai to arrest the suspect without delay and initiate legal proceedings.
Police sources confirmed that the medical examination of the injured elderly man has been completed, and a formal case will be registered once the medical report is received. Authorities assured that strict action will be taken against the accused and justice will be ensured for the victim.
Further investigation into the case is underway by Kalat Police.
