JI Balochistan Amir Demands Rights for Baloch People, Criticizes Government and Security Forces

Quetta, Balochistan – Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Balochistan, has called for the immediate granting of rights to the people of Balochistan, stating that the current policies of neglect and disregard for the people’s needs will no longer be tolerated. He emphasized that the issues of Balochistan, including insecurity, unemployment, and poverty, are the result of incompetent federal and provincial governments, as well as corrupt and illegitimate rulers.

In a statement, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman criticized the behavior of security forces, particularly the Frontier Corps (FC), towards the people of Balochistan, claiming that the disrespect, abuse, and extortion faced by the public has led to growing resentment. “The mistreatment of mothers, sisters, and elders will no longer be tolerated,” he said, adding that the people’s trust in security institutions is eroding due to their harsh and unjust treatment.

He announced that Jamaat-e-Islami’s membership drive in Balochistan is ongoing and that the party is committed to ensuring the rights of the Baloch people under the “Haq Do Balochistan” campaign. The party plans to organize a historic protest with one lakh participants in Quetta, aiming to address the region’s pressing issues. He expressed that the people of Balochistan, including citizens, youth, traders, and social activists, are dissatisfied and frustrated with the current state of affairs.
