Iran Rules Out Missile Talks, Demands End to Oil Sanctions

Tehran:** Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei has stated that Iran will charge fees for services provided to vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz and reiterated that Tehran retains the option of reducing the enrichment level of its uranium stockpile.
Speaking to state television, Baghaei said that Iran’s missile program is non-negotiable and that Iranian nuclear material will not be transferred outside the country.
He further emphasized that, over the next 60 days, the other party should neither increase its military presence in the region nor impose any new sanctions on Iran.
The spokesperson also called for the removal of sanctions on Iran’s oil sector, saying that Tehran should be allowed to freely sell its oil for the next 60 days starting immediately.
Baghaei added that the United States is obligated to remove obstacles preventing Iran from accessing its frozen assets. He stressed that Iran strongly rejects any discussion regarding its missile capabilities and will not engage in talks with any party concerning its defense capabilities.
The remarks underscore Tehran’s firm stance on its missile and defense programs while pressing for sanctions relief and greater economic access as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts.
