PTI Rejects Gilgit-Baltistan Election Results, Claims Victory on Eight Seats

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has rejected the results of the Gilgit-Baltistan elections, alleging widespread rigging and announcing plans to launch protests and issue a white paper detailing its concerns.
Addressing a press conference, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan described the elections as “fake and manipulated” and said the party would observe a “Black Day” in Gilgit-Baltistan on the day newly elected members take their oath.
Barrister Gohar stated that the party currently possesses Form-47 documents from three constituencies and claimed that PTI was on course to win eight seats with certainty. He argued that the party should have received the corresponding Form-47 results for those constituencies.
He further alleged that electoral manipulation and preventing people from exercising their right to vote amounted to a conspiracy against democracy. According to him, pre-poll rigging took place and PTI was deliberately excluded from the electoral process under a planned strategy.
The PTI chairman also claimed that a majority of Pakistanis support his party and vowed to continue raising concerns regarding the election results through constitutional and political channels.
The party has announced that it will formally protest the alleged irregularities and release a detailed white paper outlining its position on the Gilgit-Baltistan polls.
