PTI Founder Reports Vision Problems, Family Demands Access to Personal Doctors

Rawalpindi (Qudrat Roznama) – The sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, Alima Khan, has stated that her brother, Imran Khan, has reported vision problems and is not receiving proper medical attention.
Speaking to the media at Dahgal Naka with two sisters, Alima Khan said the family does not trust the current treatment or medical reports concerning Imran Khan. She conveyed that her brother messaged them, stating that he “cannot see,” and demanded that his personal doctors be given access to him.
Alima Khan explained that the family informed authorities that doctors had advised against keeping Imran Khan in jail and recommended his transfer to Shifa International Hospital, where his medical data is available to his personal doctors. She claimed that the monitoring of Imran Khan is inadequate and alleged that he is being treated unfairly.
She further stated that initial offers suggested sending two doctors to the jail, but after conference calls with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the family was assured of his transfer to Shifa International Hospital. Alima emphasized that the reports prepared by government doctors were deemed unsatisfactory by the family, and questioned why the doctors examining Imran Khan had not held a press conference. She insisted that he should be examined in the presence of family members and his personal doctors.
Alima Khan also clarified that the family will not believe any claims about his condition until Imran Khan reaches the hospital and is fully assessed by his personal doctors. She added that while no jail offer was made, there was a guarantee from Shifa International Hospital regarding treatment.
She suggested that underlying issues may be contributing to Imran Khan’s eye problems and emphasized the urgent need for proper medical care under trusted supervision.
