Over 1.68 Million Foreign Pilgrims Perform Umrah During Ramadan in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH: Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that more than 1.68 million foreign pilgrims performed Umrah during the holy month of Ramadan this year.
According to official statistics, around 1.1 million visitors obtained permits to access Riyaz-ul-Jannah at Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, representing pilgrims from 155 countries.
Authorities also reported that approximately 153,000 services were provided in 11 languages through 30 Nusuk care centers established in Mecca, Jeddah, and Medina to facilitate pilgrims.
In addition, nearly 197,000 individuals sought assistance from 1,966 guidance and support centers set up for pilgrims. Field monitoring teams conducted over 21,500 inspections of residential facilities to ensure the quality of services provided.
Earlier, the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites reported that nearly two million Umrah pilgrims arrived at mosques located at Miqat points within the first 15 days of Ramadan.
The data also revealed that around 291,094 vehicles transported pilgrims from various cities across the Kingdom to Miqat locations for Umrah during the holy month.
