Moon to Appear Directly Above the Holy Kaaba Tonight at 10:40 PM Saudi Time

**Riyadh:** The crescent moon of Ramadan is expected to appear directly above the Holy Kaaba tonight at 10:40 PM, according to Saudi Arabia’s standard time.

The Saudi Astronomical Society announced that on February 28, the moon will align precisely over the Holy Kaaba in Makkah. This rare astronomical phenomenon will allow observers to determine the correct direction of the Qibla by simply facing the moon at that exact time.

Engineer Majed Abu Zahra, head of the Saudi Astronomical Society, explained that from an astronomical perspective, when the moon is positioned directly above the Holy Kaaba, people in different parts of the world can accurately identify the direction of the Kaaba by observing the moon’s location in the sky.

Astronomers describe this occurrence as a natural celestial alignment resulting from the moon’s orbit around the Earth. Such events are considered useful for educational and observational purposes, particularly for those interested in astronomy and Islamic geography.

The phenomenon is expected to be visible under clear sky conditions, offering a spiritually uplifting and visually remarkable experience for observers.
